The experienced Othercare-Experts from Fantastische Zeiten Inc. will be present during the whole festival. They promise innovative alternatives to thick-skinned everyday pragmatism in the extraordinary spacial compositions of LAST RESORTS.
The LAST RESORT is a place of well being, a successful concept from Fantastische Zeiten Inc., that was founded in 2029. It offers a symbiosis of art, culture and wellness – the holy trilogy beyond the often quite dull reality of daily life. A priming program for an in-depth multi sensory treatment was specifically developed to sharpen the visitor’s pleasure receptors: With the help of experienced Othercare-Experts they can experience the return to their own vulnerability.
You will set foot in spaces specifically designed for Fantastische Zeiten Inc. that will transport you to a hermetic world. Here you will also be able to explore the soon-to-be history of Fantastische Zeiten Inc.. From the 2033 sales brochure: “The LAST RESORT is a comforting place that specializes in relieving sensations of heavy-heartedness, despondence and desolation. Experience gentle Othercare-services provided by skilled LAST RESORT-staff as you enter a world of vulnerability and softness. Shed your thick skin and be welcomed with ever-open arms!”

LAST RESORT happens in collaboration between Jos Porath, the director of immersive performance installations and Marie S. Zwinzscher, a theater maker and performer. Both have worked with renowned groups (i.a. SIGNA, Punchdrunk), institutions (HAU, Berliner Ensemble, Deutsches Schauspielhaus HH) and festivals (PAF Berlin, Wiener Festwochen) in the past. Their collaboration began in 2016. Their last projects were the immersive installation PLEASANT PLACE and the immersive theater installation and live action role play EXVOTO.
